IKKUNA NEWS: Vaasa Entrepreneurship Society (VES) Talks is an event concept under which inspiring speakers share their ideas on interesting topics.
For the next VES Talks, The Power of Attitude, Hjallis Harkimo will share his take on how the right mindset and attitude will get you far.
Mr. Harkimo is a well-known businessman, sportsperson and television figure. He is the chairman of the board in several companies, largest owner of Jokerit ice hockey team and constructor of the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki.
– The event is organized at Kino Ritz, Kirkkopuistikko 22, Monday 19th October. The doors open at 14.15 and event itself begins at 14.50, says Ossi Cavén, chairman of VES.
About VES. Vaasa Entrepreneurship Society is a young organization founded in the beginning of 2015 to bring all the like-minded individuals under one roof.
VES’s goal is to gather all students interested in entrepreneurship together to network, learn, innovate and generate new ideas. Regardless of the school, language or the subject of studies, VES welcomes everyone in the community, says Cavén.
– Our organization is very young but the growth has been incredibly fast and there are a lot of members in the organization. Like most of VES events, VES Talks is totally free of charge.
– Show up on time, enjoy the event and get inspired. This is what we want to achieve through the event.
Future plans. Since VES is a new organization, it is trying to position itself strongly in the student community as well as working community and companies in the Vaasa region.
– VES organizes different kinds of events throughout the year. In addition to speaker events, we organize different kinds of trainings, case-competitions as well as other kinds of networking events.
– We also co-operate with other organizations and entrepreneurial societies across Finland. More information on the recent events can be found on our website, says Cavén.
The vision of Vaasa Entrepreneurship Society is to be a significant player in boosting the entrepreneurial attitude among university students in Vaasa.
– We want to be involved in building the future of even more innovative and entrepreneurial Vaasa region.
